"I’ve never been the type of artist who felt stuck in any one artistic style or single use of medium. As I’ve grown into my career, I’ve steered into developing specialty in all different kinds of art and mediums. I love working with the human figure and incorporating it into my illustrations using watercolor, and in my paintings using oil.  In my work, I aim to portray the manner in which past events are able to shape current experiences, and remain with a person indefinitely. I use the human figure as a mechanism to explore trauma when it comes to body issues, representing  personal exposure and diagnosis with different disorders. Struggling with body image, I’ve made personal discoveries enveloped within a journey of self-love and acceptance, leading to the creation of my ever growing project "Hug Love Yourself". This project is allowing me to take the self-love I found among a turbulent past, and help others find the same love for themselves, when even against the hardest of times.

I’ve found comfort in “abstracts” and I use quotations here because though I can’t be sure, I consider them abstracts. Are they? I don’t know. What I do know is how much joy it brings me to work in this manner, so free and almost carefree, there’s such beauty that grows in it. I’ve also started getting into designing and creating jewelry and art pieces by hand, which you can wear as part of your accessories, and let me tell you... I also love it.  All I know is I will continue making art that will be different, and maybe one day it will all tie together and show the type of artist I am and person I aspire to be."
